Divine Mercy Food Programs

We are an active parish community of over 4,500 families.  There is such an outpouring of generosity from our parishioners on an ongoing basis.  In his encyclical,  Deus Caritas Est, the Holy Father, Benedict XVI reminds us:

…the exercise of charity became established as one of her essential activities, along with the administration of the sacraments and the proclamation of the word: love for widows and orphans, prisoners, and the sick and needy of every kind, is as essential to her as the ministry of the sacraments and preaching of the Gospel. The Church cannot neglect the service of charity any more than she can neglect the Sacraments and the Word.

Here at the parish we seek to serve the poor as Christ taught us.  Thank you for your willingness to go the extra mile for persons in Loudoun County needing help in making ends meet.  In our lives, we all carry the cross, and sometimes God allows us with challenges in order to find the greater love.  Thank you for being an instrument of that love, that Divine Mercy, in the lives of others.

I invite you to look at our programs.  See where you are willing to assist – by joining the Divine Mercy email list or making a donation of food or funds.
